Korean Meteorological Society (KMS), Meteorological Society of Japan (MSJ), and Chinese Meteorological Society (CMS) have agreed to strengthen the mutual cooperation and friendship in the field of the Atmospheric Science on the basis of equal benefits, organization of regional activities, and active dissemination of the activities of the meteorological societies of Korea, Japan, and China to the world community. Based on this agreement, four international conferences had been held:
- First Japan-China-Korea Joint Conference on Meteorology
13-14 May 2005, Tokyo, Japan
- Second Korea-Japan-China Joint Conference on Meteorology
11-13 October 2006, Goyang, Korea
- Third China-Korea-Japan Joint Conference on Meteorology
13-16 November 2007, Beijing, China
- Fourth Japan-China-Korea Joint Conference on Meteorology
8-11 November 2009, Tsukuba, Japan
After the consultation on the successful cooperation, the three Societies have reached the agreement to continue the second round of the Joint Conferences once in every two years. As the fourth conference was held in 2009, the next one is going to be held in 2011 in Korea. Here we would like to inform you that this coming conference will be held from 24 to 26 October 2011 in Busan, Korea.
