한국기상학회 회원님들께, 아시아 오세아니아 지구과학회 (Asia Oceania Geosciences Society; AOGS) 의 초록 접수 마감이 다가옵니다. (2월 11일, 화요일). 이번 AOGS 2014에서 대기과학 섹션 (AS)은 총 43개 세션을 운영합니다. 이는 AOGS 전체 8개 섹션 중 가장 많은 세션이며, AS 역대 최고 숫자이기도 합니다. 그만큼 AOGS내에서 대기과학자들의 활발한 활동을 입증하는 것이기도 합니다. 특히 올해부터는 "AS51: 2nd Young Scientists Forum (YSF): Challenging the Atmospheric Sciences"에서 멘토링과 더불어 젊은 과학자 (박사수료생 및 박사후연구생)들에게 발표기회가 주어집니다. YSF는 아직까지는 AS에서만 유일하게 운영되며, 구두발표에 선정되는 젊은 과학자는 "Invited Talk" 으로 발표하는 영예를 얻게 되며, 중견과학자와 젊은 과학자간의 훌륭한 교류의 장이 될 것입니다. 이렇게 AOGS내에서 가장 활동적이고 앞서 나가는 대기과학 섹션에 회원 여러분들의 적극적인 참여를 부탁드립니다. 아래는 AOGS 2014에 대한 간략한 소개와 AS의 43개 세션 리스트이오니 참고하시기 바랍니다. 이 중 17개 세션에서 우리 학회 회원님들께서 Convener 또는 Co-convener를 맡고 계십니다 (* 표시).
