7. The 1st announcement for TCOI 2019 Workshop
Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming (TCOI 2019) workshop on tropical cyclone-ocean interaction in the Northwest Pacific which will be held June 19-21 in Jeju Island, Korea. This workshop aims to bring together researchers and forecasters to exchange their knowledge and skills in TC observations, modeling and forecasting in the Northwest Pacific Ocean, with focusing on air-sea interaction. The research in these areas is becoming increasingly collaborative, especially crossing country borders.

The workshop will cover the broad range of subjects, and session titles are

Session. Air-sea Fluxes and TC Analyses
Session. Coupled TC-Ocean Modeling
Session. TC Air-Sea Manned and Unmanned Aircraft Operations & Experiments
Session. Oceanic and Atmosphere-Ocean Interaction Processes in TCs
Session. Seasonal/Long-Term Variability and Forecasting of TCs
Session. Breakfast Meeting (Discussion and Jeju tour)

The 15 invited foreign speakers is expected to give a oral talks.

The workshop web site is http://www.tcoi.co.kr/  You can find the information about TCOI 2019 workshop and hotel reservation, and registration and abstract submission are now open.

Best Regards,
